Welcome to The Community Circle hosted by AFAR!
The Community Circle was created to serve as a "third place" - a place for community to gather outside of work and school - for people of all backgrounds in and around Raleigh. The Circle is a time to share, receive, learn and connect with your neighbors. Each Circle will have a discussion topic and a guest speaker. We welcome your ideas and suggestions for both.
Join in on Sunday morning June 3rd at 10am to discuss the "Problem with Doing Whats Best for Your Kids". https://onbeing.org/blog/courtney-martin-the-problem-with-seeking-the-best-for-your-kids/ This piece explores the impact of school choice on the larger community. How do we reconcile what’s best for our kids with what’s best for the community?
