Justice Theater Project Collaboration

We are excited to partner with Raleigh-based Justice Theater Project (whose mission is to produce compelling theater experiences that create community dialogue and give voice to social concerns) as an “Intermission Advocate” during their upcoming production of Oliver! With a multicultural cast, consider yourself part of the family as JTP presents this award-winning musical adaptation of Dickens' classic novel.

During the performance on Sunday, June 10 at 3:30pm, AFAR will have a chance to address the audience at intermission and share our story/mission. We would love to see some of our AFAR community there! This particular show actually offers FREE childcare during the performance (children must be potty trained) so you can relax and enjoy an afternoon of theater!

Oliver!, is a critically-acclaimed musical based on Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist. Show takes place at Umstead Park United Church of Christ, 8202 Brownleigh Drive in Raleigh on June 10 at 3:30pm. Tickets ($20) and more information at (childcare is free but must be reserved ahead of time).

Book, Music and Lyrics by Lionel Bart. Directed by Jerry Sipp. Music Direction by Ronzel Bell.

Come out and enjoy some socially conscious theater and support AFAR!
