JOIN US for FRIENDSGIVING!

It’s time again for AFAR’s annual fundraiser event FRIENDSGIVING! It’s our second year with this important event and we really hope to see all of our community join us. On Sunday, November 18 from 9:30am - 11:30am, we are throwing a big ol’ pajama party. This is a family friendly event complete with full hot breakfast (catered by Porchetta), mimosas and coffee (for the grown ups), pillow/blanket forts, progressive children’s book reading corner, large screen viewing of a kid-friendly show, games and activities. It’s going to be a fun and positive experience for all ages.

Entry Fee/Donation to AFAR: $35/adult & $15/child (children 3 and under are free). Tickets can be purchased online in advance via Venmo (link above) or by check/cash on the day of the event too.

Bring the kids, bring the grandparents, bring your neighbors and BYO Pajamas! Please RSVP on our official evite (http://evite.me/4X7MwZnKwQ) for our food count/planning needs. Thank you so much for your support of AFAR, we couldn’t do any of this without you!

This is a fundraiser event, its pretty much the only time each year that we ask YOU for support. This is all so that for the rest of the year we can put on our many FREE and parent-friendly events like Civic Kids Story Hour, Community Circle, campaign support events, Science March and so much more. All the proceeds from FRIENDSGIVING tickets go right back towards future AFAR programming. We are a completely volunteer run organization of passionate parents looking to make progressive politics more family friendly for ALL of Raleigh’s families. We’d love for you to join us by attending FRIENDSGIVING and allowing your ticket price to be a donation towards our efforts.

Even if you can’t attend the event, WE WILL MISS YOU, but please consider donating today via our Venmo link (http://venmo.com/AFARaleigh).
