"We did it! On January 21, over 5 Million of us worldwide and over 1 Million in Washington, D.C., came to march, speak and make our voices heard. But it doesn’t end here - now is not the time to hang up our marching shoes - it’s time to get our friends, family and community together and make history." @WomensMarch
None of us were quite prepared for the crowd sizes in DC, much less the sister marches across the country and around the world! We all headed into the day fired up & ready go and were quickly blown away to find ourselves surrounded by people, cheering, and love. The people swell coincided with a giant heart swell. Those of us in DC were moved to tears at the first images of crowds back home. RALEIGH SHOWED UP! It was a tremendous experience to march in solidarity with our fellow citizens on behalf of each other. Now, cling tight to that power, harness the positive energy, and charge yourself up for the fight ahead!
It's not a moment, it's a movement. Thankfully the Women's March organizers have released "10 actions 100 days" campaign to keep us engaged together. Tuesday morning, 1/24, we were right back at it with a postcard writing party. In just an hour we mailed over 50 cards made by kids and concerned citizens to Senator Burr and Senator Tillis. Some cards were hand delivered by a wonderful supporter. The early morning gathering with this passionate community was such a bright spot in a day. Thank you to everyone who is raising their hand to join in. Please know that all y'all are welcome & appreciated! Forward together!
Ready to march again?
